Services:

Chroma Gemological Lab provides gemstone identification, grading, and certification services to clients. These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the Services by Clients.

Reports and Accuracy

  • CGL will provide Clients with a report reflecting the results of the examination of gemstones.
  • The Report is considered original only if signed by an authorized CGL representative with a sealed logo and Electronic signatures are also accepted.
  • Gemstones may vary in appearance from the Report's representations.
  • Report findings are limited to identified characteristics discovered during examination, adhering to established gemological guidelines at the time of examination.

Information Usage and Limitations

  • These Terms & Conditions describe CGL procedures for collecting, examining, and disclosing information when Clients utilize CGL Services.
  • CGL uses standard gemological tools and devices, but information accuracy may vary due to advancements in instrumentation.
  • While CGL identifies synthetics, treatments, and simulants, identifying the exact Gemstone origin may not always be possible due to technological advancements.
  • Treated Gemstones may not be fully identifiable due to enhancements. However, the Report will clarify whether the stone is treated or not.
  • Examination procedures for specific Gemstones may vary based on the mentioned characters. CGL and its staff are not responsible for discrepancies caused by other grading, enhancement, treatment, or identification methods.
  • The jewelry report solely relies on the Gemstone examination analysis. CGL is not responsible for accompanying reports or documentation.

Client Responsibility and Disclaimer

  • Clients are responsible for ensuring the Gemstones are genuine and legally acquired. CGL reserves the right to refuse service for suspicious Gemstones.
  • Clients are responsible for providing accurate information about the Gemstones, including any known treatments or enhancements.
  • Clients acknowledge that the Report does not constitute a warranty or guarantee and that CGL does not purchase or replace any Gemstones.
  • Clients agree that CGL certificate is based on expert gemological opinions and cannot be challenged in any court of law.
  • CGL operates with integrity and ethical standards and will not tolerate violence or dishonest practices. Violators will be held accountable by law.

Amendments and Updates

CGL reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions under its Privacy Policy.

Limitation of Liability

CGL total liability to Clients for any claim or damage arising from the Services shall not exceed the amount paid by Client for the Services. CGL shall not be liable for any consequential, incidental, or punitive damages.

Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between CGL and Client with respect to the Services and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications, representations, or agreements, whether oral or written.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
